Kevin Ware of the Louisville Cardinals suffered one of the most gruesome injuries in the history of sports. An injury the likes we haven’t seen since Lawrence Taylor’s hit on Joe Theismann sent shock waves through the football world. But many viewers are far too young to remember that moment. Like older fans remember Joe, we won’t forget Kevin’s pain – nor his promise that he’ll be back.

Alex Baby! Kansas City Here He Comes

Alex Smith

Both Alex Smith and the Kansas City Chiefs would rather forget about last year. Alex’s season was marred by injury. The Chiefs tragically lost a teammate and friend to a murder-suicide. Their play on the field was secondary to the pain caused by that event. Now they can both start over. Those activities alone are fun, but adding a bowl game trip could be a great way to wrap up a festive season.

RGIII

2013 is beginning with a bang! Robert Griffin III gave it the old Baylor try, but he was hobbled and the Seattle defense took full advantage. The coaching carousel just keeps going around. Only two teams have hired new coaches – the Bills (Doug Marrone) and the Chiefs (Andy Reid). The NHL lockout finally ended and the NBA teams are heating up.
