Less Stress for Christmas! Managing the Family Schedule
For many, the Christmas season is the happiest times of the year. But for others with distance or reconfigured families, the holiday time adds greater stress. Much conversation is about how to split the time with both sides of the family. Newlyweds are working to create their own special systems. Blended or divorced families have already begun the holiday negotiations to see who will get to have the children on Christmas morning. Being Present: Life Lessons from Mom

My goal is to learn from that lesson and look at how I am spending my time and make daily adjustments to make the most of each day.
Lessons That I Learned From My Mom
As I watched my mom slip away, I realized that you can never prepare yourself for the day that you lose your mom. She was there when I took my first breath and I was there when she took her last one.
Load! DJ the Football Mom on the Hill
Almost three weeks ago we launched our Game Ready Mom summer workout challenge. My co-host, Mia Jackson, intern, Janay James and I made a pact to get ready for the football season by getting in the best shape possible. I love the idea of working out with others even if we are not in the same city. I also like a challenge! I decided to jump right in and rev up my workout.
Walk, Talk, Connect!
A friend called me to schedule lunch or dinner and I suggested that we schedule a “walk and talk” instead. We both needed to get exercise into our regular routine and being able to connect at the same would be ideal. We met for a “walk and talk” and before we know it an hour had gone by!
