NFL’s Hidden Gems: Cuties Week 7

As the season progresses, and the weather gets colder, the players just keep getting hotter! Each week, the men just seem to get better looking. This is my favorite part of the job, discovering new fineness! Some of these players, while not new to us based on their play on the field, were flying way under the fine radar!  That’s okay, I’m moving this week’s picks to the front of the line! So ladies, as always, you know what to do…..ENJOY!!

Wesley Woodyard #52, Outside Linebacker (OLB), Denver Broncos

Now, let me just say that I love the P&G!!  The pink and green and the PURPLE AND GOLD!!! This son of the Blood and Thunder is making my blood boil! He’s got that George Clinton P-Funk! This member of the Broncos Defense has all the fillies in Denver going to the nearest hardware store. Why, you ask? Because Woodyard’s
nick name is the “Lumberjack” and with 253 tackles and two sacks he’s putting a hurting on opposing offenses.

Woodyard, signed by the Broncos in 2008, was an undrafted free agent out of the University of Kentucky. While at Kentucky, the named a second-team Sophomore All-American and All-SEC Honorable mention. In the Music
City Bowl, Woodyard earned Defensive MVP honors.

With five years in the league, this cutie is one of my favorite types of players. He’s steady, dependable and consistent. He doesn’t make a lot of noise, is consistently supporting youth events around the city and standing at 6’0″ and weighing 229lb is an added sexiness bonus! I’m so glad this diamond in the rough has been located, because I promise he took my breath away. Maybe it’s the intense gaze, the smoky eyes, sexy mouth or the infectious smile that caught my attention. All I know is that I saw his picture and had to come back to look some more. Woodyard is a other undrafted free agent, that would have made my team!

Rob Gronkowski #87, Tight End, New England Patriots

Rob Gronkowski “Gronk” is NO stranger to football fans, but  it wasn’t until his second year in the league that he truly exploded! This tight end from the University of Arizona set numerous records in the 2011 year. He holds the NFL record for most TD receptions and most receiving yards by a tight end in a single season. He fits the theme of hidden gem because he was the second-youngest of five boys and he comes from a long line of competitive athletes. For example, his older brother Dan was a tight end drafted out of the University of Maryland in 1999, and his grandfather was a member of the 1924 U.S. Olympic cycling team.

Selected in the second round of the 2010 NFL draft by the Patriots, Gronk has been a major playmaker. He holds numerous records both from his college career to the NFL. In 2011, he helped lead his team to the AFC
Championships. In the win over the Baltimore Ravens, unfortunately, he suffered a high ankle sprain prohibiting him from having an impact in the 17-21 Super Bowl loss to the NY Giants.

Gronk - The Body Issue

Gronk is also known as much for his off field antics as well as his play on the field. His chiseled body made him a natural choice to be selected for the 2012 ESPN Body Issue!! He also came under fire from many for partying after the Super Bowl loss. He’s often photo graphed drinking, at parties surrounded by females, including the infamous pose of him topless with a Playboy calendar girl wearing his jersey. As he gets older, he’ll settle down and continue to polish, but for now he’s truthfully a typical 20 something.  He’s got the spiked hair, the sexy body, bad boy smile with those dimples and the killer come hither eyes. Maybe that’s how he catches the ball each week. He hypnotizes it with those beautiful eyes, because goodness knows I’m captivated!

Jarrett Bush #24, Corner Back, Green Bay Packers

There are so many good puns that I could use right now to describe this Green Bay cutie, but I won’t say a word. I’ll just let his face and body do the talking. While I won’t play with his name, I will say that Jarrett Bush is another gem hiding under a helmet!

Bush attended American River Junior College, before transferring to Utah State. In 2005 Bush earned All-WAC honors for Defense, but was primarily used on special teams. In 2008 as an undrafted free agent he was signed by the Panthers, but was released prior to the start of the season. Bush was picked up off waivers by the Packers the next day. While he’s not a regular starter, Bush been a steady and dependable member of the Green Bay roster.  In Super Bowl XLV, against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bush contributed to the win with a critical INT against Ben Roethlisberger in the first half of the game.

Now, Bush can contribute as a member of the “Cutie” list!! Ladies, I don’t know about you, but I love a man with defined and chiseled facial features! From his strong jawline to this beautiful white teeth and smile, I have not been able to take my eyes off this fine man! Good lawd, he is pretty! Oh and did I mention that he’s single…yeah, he’s making me think about relocating to Green Bay to keep him warm on those cold Green Bay nights. While
I’m up there he can entertain me with a private concert as this multi-talented athlete plays the tuba, trombone and drums. Yes, ladies Jarrett Bush may have gone undrafted by the NFL, but he’s the reason why I do this list to bring you the fine NFL eye candy and discovered those hidden jewels.
