Throwback Cuties!

As we move into December, I decided to make this a “throw-back” dedication issue.  I think that it’s important to look back at where I started in order to appreciate how much this column has grown.  It’s growing in popularity, and weekly continues to gain new fans.  While I’m excited about the success of the column, it is part of the success that is Sideline Pass.  This visionary site has taken off with out target market the female sports fans and it is for you that I write each week, the fans!  As a thank you, and due to the many requests of new fans, we start the end of 2010 year with some of the original “Cuties” from the 2009 inaugural season.  So……as always you know what to do….enjoy!!

T.O. Tooo Cute

Most of the regulars know that recently I had the opportunity to meet many of the players for the Cincinnati Bengals.  While I enjoyed meeting them in person, I was NOT prepared when I met T.O.   As he was walking through the lobby I was taken back and totally caught off guard at how tall, chocolate, sexy and beautiful this man is in person!!! I know many don’t use the word “beautiful” to describe a man (Jill Scott does), but there are no other words. Since his birthday was Dec. 7, what better way to celebrate this fine piece of man. I HAD to add him to the list again this year!  Now, I recognize that T.O. is a polarizing figure in the sports world.  People either love him or hate him and there is nothing in-between.  As an athlete he’s either the most amazing talent or the biggest cancer to a locker room.  As most fans know, in 2010 T.O. signed a one-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, after being released from the Buffalo Bills, where he spent one season.  The Bills were the team that picked him up after he was let go from the Dallas Cowboys.  Unfortunately, this season is not working out as planned for either T.O. or the Bengals franchise. The Bengals have a 2 – 10 record, so with the possibility of a lock-out looming over the 2011 season we are not going to focus on where T.O. might land next year.  Instead, we are just going to enjoy visually drinking this cup of hot chocolate and wishing Santa would put him under our tree, LOL!!!!

Adrian Peterson #28, RB Minnesota Vikings

All Day Fine AP

The standout running back was another hot request that inspired me to do this “cutie throw-back” edition.  After looking at this body again, I KNOW I made the right decision, LOL!!  Adrian Peterson has been the force behind the Minnesota Vikings offensive since he was drafted in 2007.  That year, he earned the 2007 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, made the Pro Bowl in 2008, 2009, and 2010 and has been setting NFL rushing records.  Last year the Vikings signed NFL great Brett Favre as the QB, and since then Peterson has seen his numbers decline as the Vikings moved more to a pass-offensive and less of a rush offensive.  That is starting to change under Interim Head Coach Leslie Frazier.  In addition to a head coaching change, Favre’s throwing arm was injured in the December 5 game against the Bills.  With Tarvaris Jackson in at QB, Peterson ran for 107 yards and three touchdowns.  This cutie is nick-named “A.D.” which is short for “All Day, ” and what an appropriate nick-name it is, because that man is FINE, “All Day, Every Day, ” ROTFL!!!

Reggie Bush #25, RB New Orleans Saints

“Mary, Mary, quite contrary how does your garden grow?”  Well if you planted this “Bush”  it would have to grow in my “Secret Garden” because I would want to keep him all to myself!!!  Someone wrote last year, they couldn’t vote for him due to his choice of female company.  Well, to the best of my knowledge anyway, he is single and ready to mingle.  With a body like that New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush can mingle what ever he wants, LOL!!  Another polarizing figure in sports, many still wonder about the allegations of impropriety while he was in college at USC.  Under then coach Pete Carroll, Bush and his family are accused of accepting money and gifts from a sports agent who wanted to sign Bush as a client.   While Bush has never come out and admitted accepting money from a potential agent, that asterisk over his head led him to return the Heisman trophy he won. After being drafted by the New Orleans Saints, the media spent years following him and his relationship with a reality-TV star.  They were even interviewed together after the Saints won the 2010 Super Bowl.   The pair has since ended their relationship and this season Bush has spent the majority of the season sidelined with a leg injury.  Even though his leg is healing, I’m sure there are plenty of females with a “green thumb” that would love to tend to this wounded Bush and make everything all better, LOL!!!
