Tyreke, the 2010 NBA Rookie of the Year, is committed to providing care and free services to the deserving communities whenever possible. His two-day spirited camp will not only work on basketball fundamentals and life skills. Each camper is eligible for an eye examination and, if necessary, a free pair of glasses. And did you know that an exam can also help detect signs of diabetes? The Game Ready Moms didn’t know that either – but learned more about it thanks to Tyreke’s efforts to inform the public.

“Healthy vision is essential to a child’s ability to learn and achieve their academic and athletic potential. Since vision problems can begin at an early age, children should receive regular comprehensive eye exams — at 6-months-old, 2-years-old, before kindergarten and every year following.”

Show starts 9 pm. on June 14th! Call in at (619) 639-4681 or listen online at GRM on Sideline Pass Radio!

We’ll also talk to Tyreke about his experiences growing up and what he’s learned during his first years in the NBA. As a professional basketball player, he continues to share the lessons he’s learned with the willing, eager youth. Game Ready Moms hosts Deb Johnson and Mia Jackson look forward to a great show.
