Confused?

At the beginning of the season, we wondered WHO would make shots for the Heat’s new Big 3 at crucial game situations – not IF they would make shots. But after watching the Magic pull off 40-9 to eliminate a 24-pt deficit and win the game, we’re left to ask if the King and D know how to play well together in big spots. At the end of the Thursday night game, Orlando beat the Heat 99-96, leaving fans cursing at their screens on both sides.

The Heat looked like aimless toddlers on the floor instead of the mature powerhouse that dominated the first half. “Mindboggling” is the word Wade used to describe what happened on the court Thursday night after Dwight Howard’s team took it to ‘em. Is it a case of too much nice-guy game etiquette? “No LeBron, you take the shot, we want you to feel comfortable?” Or is King James forgetting the fact that Mr. Wade has been pretty good at this for a number of years now (he knows how to work a 4th quarter.)

Whatever it is, they need to spend some time with the teacher after practice so they can learn how to play together when it really counts. We’ll see what happens tonight when they face the Spurs. (That quiet team that everybody forgets about until they win the trophy.)
